Synopsis

This unit is designed to allow current business leaders to reflect on
the topic of leadership in a systemic way by developing a framework
and strategy for leadership development across a number of different
contexts. The challenge of developing such a strategy will require
students to ask not only what is required of a leader but what is
required of leadership at all levels of an organisation facing
different demands and environments. Students are expected to define
what the organisational requirements are for leadership rather than
the requirements for particular individuals. Students will then have
to identify a range of developmental options before developing a
coherent and defencible organisational strategy based on sound
evidence and consultation.
