Synopsis

Ecology  is  the scientific study of the processes that determine  the
distribution and abundance of organisms. This unit examines in  detail
the  ecology of populations and communities. It also provides insights
to  human  and behavioural ecology. Practicals include laboratory  and
field investigations of single- species (grain beetle, cormorant)  and
communities(seashore, freshwater and terrestrial).
