This unit surveys contrapuntal techniques of the Renaissance and Baroque Periods, with an emphasis on practical exercises in both modal and tonal counterpoint. It also further develops aural acuity relating to pitch, melody, rhythm, two-part work, harmony and form. Each succeeding Music Craft unit further develops this acuity.
