Synopsis

This  unit  is concerned with building a practical foundation  in  the
areas  of two and three-dimensional expression and Curatorial Studies.
By  exploring  a  variety of methods and materials  students  will  be
encouraged to develop their technical and observational skills.

Studio practice in Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Ceramics, Sculpture
and  Textiles  will  be  reinforced by project work  and  by  lectures
analysing the work of established artists, providing insight into  how
concepts can be expressed visually in different disciplines.
