SYNOPSIS:

The collection and presentation of surveying and land information requires an understanding of a range of surveying tools and software. A problem/project based approach to the successful completion of a small mapping exercise will be examined. Students will work as a team to plan, manage and complete the project.


OBJECTIVES:

On successful completion of this unit students will be able
to:

  1. Plan and prepare for a survey project.
  2. Complete a control and detail survey.
  3. Prepare and document the survey in a professional manner.
  4. Demonstrate their communication skills by a suitable
    presentation.

     in this unit.
2    The  only final grades awarded in this unit are Pass (P) or  Fail
     (F) grades.
3    Students  are  to  retain a verbatim copy of all assignment  work
     submitted, for submission in the event that the original is  lost
     or damaged.
4    Late submission of assessments will be penalised.
5    A  minimum  standard of communication skills must be demonstrated
     in order for a passing grade to be achieved.
