Synopsis

The   unit   will  explore  the  role  of  management  accounting   in
organisations. Students will develop an appreciation of  the  thinking
and   practice  that  underlies  an  organisation's  success.  Various
theories  and  practices of management accounting  will  be  presented
through   the  critical  analysis  of  theoretical  papers,  empirical
research  and  case studies. The examination of a number  of  theories
from different disciplinary frameworks and methodological perspectives
will broadly include: Organisational, Behavourial and Economic.
