Synopsis

This unit considers the decisions early childhood teachers make when
organising learning environments in small rural primary schools,
selecting the context and developing assessment tools, as well as
evaluating the effectiveness of their own teaching and the programs
they develop. This unit focuses on curriculum design for integrated
multi-age classrooms in small rural schools and upon professional and
managerial relationships in schools. There will be a specific focus on
the community in which these schools are located.
