Synopsis

Students  will  study  the  processes  of  language  acquisition   and
development  within the context of understanding human  communication.
Content  will  include: communication theory; form and  structures  of
language   (including   phonology,  semantics,  syntax,   pragmatics);
discourses;  media  as communication; computing  as  a  medium:  media
applications for research and assignment writing

This  content will form the base for students to examine  and  develop
their competencies in writing, reading, talk and critical thinking.
