Skills training comes to fruition in creative performance. This unit emphasizes the application of learned skills as the foundation for the actor's artistic expression. In addition to maintaining the ongoing fitness and skills programme, this unit will correlate with the production-based co-requisite unit Acting 5 covering period or specialised movement and/or dance as well as dialogue and voice coaching as required. Specialist workshops and topics will be introduced as required. Text work focusses upon the preparation and presentation of text-based material from the western classical repertoire. Singing classes continue in group and private sessions with a focus on interpretation and presentation of material from the music-theatre repertoire.
