Overview: The unit E1008 Roads and Drainage is offered in the Bachelor of Technology and Associate Degree in Civil Engineering courses in the Faculty of Engineering and Surveying at the University of Southern Queensland. The main campus of the USQ is in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. The unit is offered by full time on-campus study and by distance education. Both full time and external students use the distance education Study Books as the text for the unit. All students undertake the same assessment scheme.
Prerequisites: This unit has no formal prerequisites. However, as the unit occurs approximately three quarters of the way through the Bachelor of Technology and Associate Degree in Civil Engineering courses it is assumed that students undertaking the unit will have a basic understanding of engineering materials, soils, geology, surveying, hydrology and hydraulics.
