CIV3703 TRANSPORT ENGINEERING

Overview: The course CIV3703 Transport
Engineering is offered in the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) program in
the Faculty of Engineering and Surveying at the University of Southern Queensland.
The main campus of the USQ is in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. The course
is offered by full time on-campus study and by distance education. Both full
time and external students use the distance education Study Books as the
text for the unit. All students undertake the same assessment scheme.
Modules:
Prerequisites: This course has
no formal prerequisites. However, as the course occurs approximately three
quarters of the way through the Bachelor of Engineering program it is assumed
that students undertaking the course will have:
- reasonably well developed analytical skills
- background skills in drafting, computing,
mathematics, statistics, literature searching, and written communication (in
English); and
- some basic understanding of the behaviour
of engineering materials, stress analysis, soil mechanics, geology, surveying,
and civil engineering construction techniques.
