I have been teaching marketing since 1990, and have been employed as a lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland since 1992.  I have taught in both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs.  I have completed supervised a first-class marketing honours student and a Masters students.

In 2009, I am teaching Introduction to marketing, Services marketing and Services marketing management.

In 2003, I won the Pearson Education ANZMAC Marketing Educators Award (left).

Teaching Objectives

  • To create a challenging and enjoyable learning environment for students.

  • To assist students to apply marketing theories and principles to ‘real-world’ marketing situations.

  • To allow students to acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities to gain employment in the marketing sector.

  • To stimulate students to extend their current thinking to embrace new concepts and to be innovative in their approach to problem solving.

  • To allow students to become confident and resourceful in problem solving.

  •  To develop programs based on an active learning paradigm to facilitate greater student interaction and involvement

  • To continue to seek to improve my teaching style and practices.
