Boundary Layer Routines
Similarity Solution for Compressible Laminar Boundary Layers
Stagnation point and flat plate results in both axisymmetric and planar
configurations are possible with these routines.
The calculation is based on the similarity approach as described by
Anderson J. D., 1989, "Hypersonic and High Temperature Gas Dynamics",
McGraw-Hill, New York, pp 228-259.
- lbl_run.m, lbl_in_data.m
These script files are used to set up the flow and body conditions and to
control the so-called shooting technique used to integrate
the governing equations which proceeds through an iterative process
until the correct free stream conditions are achieved.
- lbl_eqs.m
Function that sets up the transformed momentum and energy equations
as a system of coupled first order odes ready for integration by a
Matlab integrator such as ode23.
- lbl_c.m,
lbl_g.m, and
lbl_dcdg.m
Other small functions called in the solution process.
Stagnation Point Heat Transfer
Stagnation point heat transfer calculatation based on the Fay-Riddell
correlations as reported by White.
- velgrad.m
Function to estimate the nondimensional velocity gradient
at the stagnation point of a cylinder or sphere.
