Commenced work at  Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education, DDIAE in April 1988 as a maintenance electrician.

Commenced study for a Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Transferred to the Faculty of Engineering in March 1989 as a Laboratory Assistant working in a number of areas including mechanical engineering and all electrical and electronic laboratories. Eventually duties concentrated in electrical power, power electronics laboratories, metrology, mechanical dynamics and data acquisition.

Promoted to current position as Technical Officer (Electronic) in 1994.
 
Returned to study for Bachelor of Technology in 1995.

Currently involved with the support, co-ordination and ongoing development of electronic, microprocessor, automated test, communications and control laboratories. Co-ordinating multimedia facilities. Technical Advice on all areas of electronics especially microprocessors.
 
In this area I work with Keith Fleming (Lab Manager) and Jim Scott (Technical Assistant)
