My professional life has been driven by
the desire to maximise learning outcomes and establish quality educational
processes through the use of processes, information technologies and the
internet. This has been done in a number of contexts including: my own teaching,
mentoring other staff, instructional design, developing multimedia and web based
flexible learning systems, and creating and operating the quality system of the
Global University Alliance. My work is based on formal qualifications in
Education, Information Science, Psychology and Computing over 20 years
experience in tertiary education in both the private and public sectors.My background has prepared me for a
range of jobs including, but not limited to:
- Design, Implementation and facilitation of online communities
- Design
and Development and Management of educational systems especially online, multi-site or multi-modal systems
- Teaching
or marking in the areas of:
- e-learning and Online learning and
- Adult
education and training
- Introductory courses in Education, Computing and Psychology
- Advanced
courses in certain Education, Computing, and Psychology fields
- Usability testing of online and offline systems
- Instructional design
- Multimedia and web design and development
