Electric Aircraft
2.5m glider
|
|
 |
This was the first 7 cell
plane I had built. The 2.5meter wing had been previously used on a non-electric glider, so
it was just a matter of building a fuse around a buggy motor/master airscrew gear box, and
a 7*1400 cell battery pack |
| I over built it a little,
using 1.6mm doubled from the rear of the wing forward. The fuse is way to strong(heavy)
and will never break from flight loads. A 12*6 prop and a weight of 1.25kgs gives a
reasonable climb, on a full charge about 4 good climbs can be expected. Thats a 16turn
Buggy motor with bearings hooked on to a Masterairscrew 3:1 gearbox. The prop is a 12 * 6
folder. |

Section is 7032. 10mm
aluminium rod into aluminium tubes for joining the wings. |
