In 2004, a research paper titled “The
Use of Innovative Teaching Methods for ‘Maximising’
the Enjoyment from Learning Mathematical Concepts” was selected to be included
in the first of the international monographs, entitled "INTERNATIONAL
RESEARCH : Selected Articles from the International Journal for Mathematics
Teaching and Learning". These
monographs in the “Series of International Monographs on Mathematics Teaching
Worldwide" were published by Muszaki, the
Hungarian publisher and part of the Kluwer publishing
house.

Undertook the United Nations Development Program
(UNDP) TOKTEN (Transfer of Knowledge Through Expatriate Nationals) assignment
for the Ministry of Agriculture in Iran, 15th June to 29th June 1999 and
8th April to 22 April 2000. Activities included: designed, developed and
presented an intensive workshop on applications of management science in
irrigation improvement and agricultural development to senior managers and
specialists in irrigation and project management. Analysed and presented a
report on implementation of the National Synthesis project.
Citations
The biographical profile was chosen by the Marquis
Who's Who editors to be included in Who's Who in the World (19th Edition) and
Who's Who in Science and Engineering (6th Edition) volumes of December 2001.
Marquis Who's Who has again selected the biography for
inclusion in the forthcoming Who's Who in the World 2011 (28th Edition).
Interests
and Hobbies
Play the classical guitar, ukulele and the
traditional/classical Setar (lute-type
chordophone). Paint landscapes in
watercolour and sketch portraits. Enjoy
swimming, cycling and amateur astronomy.
I also enjoy writing and publishing my findings, knowledge and
information on various topics so that I can share them with others. Recent examples include a series of articles
on the importance and education of astronomy in the “Popular Astronomy” in the UK. For an example of a leading features’ article

The year (2002) was formally
nominated as the year of the Outback in Australia. In order to make my contribution, I wrote an
article on the Australian Outback, its characteristics and its role and
importance. This article appeared in the October-December issue of the Popular Astronomy
