Before joining the academe, Lujer was an Authorised Representative of AXA/Charter Financial Planning Ltd, having previously completed a Master of Financial Planning degree.  Prior to this, he was involved in corporate planning and entrepreneurship where he was able to apply his Master in Business Management and Bachelor in Engineering training.

Lujer received a Faculty of Business Service and Collegiality Award in 2009 and a Faculty of Business Award for Excellence in Teaching (Early Career) in 2007.

Lujer is married to Bella Santacruz, a USQ Bachelor of Education graduate (with Distinction) who teaches at Glenvale Christian School.

In his free time, Lujer loves to engage in sports - golf, tennis, basketball, badminton and pingpong as well as camping and fishing.
