I am a teacher educator in applied linguistics with specialisation in computer-assisted language learning (CALL). My research interests include second/foreign language reading, hypertext, multimedia design, courseware evaluation, Web-based language learning, computer-mediated communication, e-learning, e-literacy and language teacher education.

I teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Applied Linguistics & TESOL and supervise higher degree research students in the Faculty of Education at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ).

I am currently the President of the Asia-Pacific Association for Computer-Assisted Language Learning (APACALL), Co-Chair of GLoCALL 2008 and Co-Editor of the International Journal of Pedagogies and Learning (IJPL).
