My major research interests lie in communications and information theory, image and video signal processing, and error-correcting coding with emphasis on the following topics:
- Cooperative source-channel coding for wireless networks
- Rateless coding (Fountain codes) for error-resilient video transmission
- Multi-user MIMO and OFDM systems
- Cooperative wireless communications and network coding
- Wireless video sensor networks
- 3-D video signal processing and transmission over wireless networks
- e-Healthcare solutions using advanced ICT technology
