USQ Women's Network has made valuable links with other groups in Toowoomba.

Householders Option to Protect the Environment Inc (HOPE)

HOPE aims to raise awareness of, and encourage active participation in, waste minimisation and the conservation of energy and resources.  The USQ Women's Network agrees with thiese aims and has the intention of raising envronmental issues on campus at USQ.

Earlier this year the Women's Network held a lunchtime forum with representatives of the USQ Envinomental Management Committee.  We agreed to follow up on the concerns of women across the USQ campuses in relation to the environment.  Please read our submission to the EMC.

St Brigid's Day Luncheon.

In February 2008 Mrs Mary Wagner presented a speech at St Brigid Day's Luncheon held at the Toowoomba Irish Club.  This speech outlines Mary's vision and attitude in the achievement of goals. 

Mrs Wagner was awarded an Honourary Degree as Doctor of the University of Southern Queensland in September 2007.  Her award was founded on her long support of the University and her distinguished service to the community.
