U3A and USQ

U3A (University of the Third Age) is a worldwide organisation formed at Toulouse University, France, in 1974. Worldwide, 20 million seniors attend U3A. U3As in Europe are important departments within mainstream universities. U3As in Australia are community organisations and managed and operated by volunteers.

Several U3As and universities in Australia have systems in place to allow U3A members to sit in on lectures and tutorials. USQ and U3A in Toowoomba Inc. have formed a relationship that now offers this learning opportunity to the 2150 Toowoomba members. This relationship compliments the Lifelong Learning programs that U3A offer and U3A look forward to advancing this new arrangement into the future with USQ.

How does it work?

U3A members register for one or more classes and attend the lecture or tutorial as an observer. Through registering for one or more classes, you will receive communication from USQ regarding any changes to the class times or rooms. There is no cost for attendance for all current U3A members.
