The College for Indigenous Studies, Education and Research (CISER) is located at each of USQ’s three campuses – Toowoomba, Springfield and Ipswich. Each college is dedicated to supporting you through your student journey at USQ, with one-on-one- support each step of the way.

Increasing the numbers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in higher education is a national priority, and there is clearly a need for more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people working in all professions. The College for Indigenous Studies, Education and Research is dedicated to supporting and working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to achieve their goals.

How we can help

At CISER, we support our students in a variety of ways, from assistance in applying through to graduation. There is a welcoming atmosphere where students have access to a computer lab, common room, outdoor courtyard, and receive academic support.

Our staff members can assist you with:

  • enrolment and re-enrolment
  • applying for scholarships
  • pathways
  • academic support
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Association
  • applying for credit for previous work or study
  • submitting assignments
  • assignment extensions
  • contacting lecturers
  • class timetables

  • Abstudy applications.
