The course is flexible in terms of the variety of ways in which students may successfully complete assessment. To complete this course students can elect to devise a special project involving a linguistic study of an aspect of German or Chinese, a cultural or historical study of German or Chinese society, a study abroad program with a special project component, a study of German or Chinese music, literature, theatre or visual arts, and a project in conjunction with a local German- or Chinese-speaking community or organisation.
