Synopsis

This professional development course PDC 5312 covers the components of personal financial planning. It is a companion to PDC 5311 - The Personal Financial Planning Environment and PDC 5313 - The Personal Financial Planning Process. Taken together, these three PDC's with summative assessments will be equivalent to the postgraduate course FIN5412 - Financial Planning. This PDC covers the various components of personal financial planning in the Australian context. Some of these components are covered in specific courses (Taxation Law, Managed Investments, Superannuation and Retirement Planning and Insurance and Risk Management) if students wish to pursue those topics in more detail.
