Synopsis

This course is designed to introduce students to civil liability in contract law. Students will gain an understanding of the substantive case law of contracts at an introductory level. How contracts are classified, formed, the meaning and effect of terms in a contract, validity, enforceability and termination of contracts are studied. Consideration is also given to principles of equity and negligent misrepresentation.
