The course covers copy for marketing and sales for both print and ebooks, including preparation of copy for social media and online distribution. The course also examines the issues in reversioning text for different purposes and rewriting for non-print media. Throughout the course the focus will be on clarity and precision in decision-making and expression to develop and produce a wide range of professional publications. The final evaluation of skills will assist in positioning editors in an industry where editors need to be able to operate in-house and freelance environments and across a range of sectors, mediums and client groups. Skills will be further refined in online discussion groups.
