Other requisites

It is recommended that students have completed two other courses before enrolling in EDU5760.
Students enrolled in the Master of Learning and Development (Adult Professional and Workplace Learning or Early Childhood specialisations) must be available for a prescribed period of time (50 hours for the Adult Professional and Workplace Learning specialisation and 60 hours for the TESOL specialisation and 45 days for the Early Childhood specialisation) to undertake a supervised teaching placement in an approved education site during their enrolment in this course.

State law in Queensland (Australia) requires that all adults working/undertaking professional experience/researching with children under the age of 18, in the state of Queensland are required to possess a current suitability card (Blue Card). NOTE: Students undertaking this course as part of their enrolment in the Adult Professional and Workplace Learning or TESOL or Early Childhood specialisations of the Master of Learning and Development program must focus their work on a teaching and learning related project. These students are also required to complete 50 hours (Adult Professional and Workplace Learning specialisation) or 60 hours (TESOL specialisation) or 45 days (Early Childhood specialisation) of supervised professional teaching/training and provide evidence of development of competence in supervised teaching and learning activities undertaken during the period of their enrolment in this course. Students cannot pass EDU5760 Professional Study (Adult Professional and Workplace Learning, Early Childhood or TESOL specialisation) until they have completed the professional experience component.
