Synopsis

Pathology is the study of abnormality to extend students knowledge from normal human anatomy and physiology to the processes that occur when there is loss of normal function (both at a cellular and organ level). Content will address why disease occurs, the way disease processes affect both individual organs and the body as a whole, and the complications that arise secondary to disease. Emphasis will be placed on disease processes that are relevant to paramedic practice.
