PMC1303 Paramedic Clinical Placement 1

Pre-requisite: PMC1102 and PMC1202

Synopsis

This course will give students the opportunity to work within an Australian ambulance service and begin to develop and reflect upon the knowledge, skills and attributes required of a paramedic. This course is conducted in blocks and each student is required to complete a minimum of 160hrs clinical placement time over the four week placement period. Throughout the clinical placement students will be expected to actively participate in the clinical environment, however must only perform skills, procedures and tasks for which they have received specific authorisation. At all times students must be supervised by a qualified paramedic.
