This course deals with the fundamental issues of research and professional skills. With respect to psychological research skills this course centres on the preparation of methodology literature review. With respect to professional skills development, this course focuses on assessment skills which include administration of psychological tests and issues regarding psychiatric nosology and diagnosis. The Work Integrated learning component of the course deals with issues associated with student's first placement in the following semester.
