In this course students will develop deepened understanding and knowledge regarding diverse sociological perspectives relevant to a range of sports related discipline areas. Students will research and critically analyse issues related to the sociology of sport and reflect on and apply information in professional contexts. Students will develop skills in a range of understandings and competencies for interpreting and evaluating sociology of sport issues within the complex social environment of Australia and internationally. Students will actively participate and reflect on personal experiences and acquire knowledge through cooperative group-work, discussion forums and feedback sessions.
