Synopsis

This is an introductory theoretical based course for health professionals working or planning to work in the field of sexual and reproductive health. This course covers the major areas of contraceptive options; health screening; sexually transmissible infections; pregnancy; culture, sex and the law; and advocacy. The intended learning outcomes will provide health professionals with an extended working knowledge of the sexual and reproductive health needs of their clientele and identification of priority populations, appropriate referral and legal rights and obligations within the Australian State and Federal jurisdictions.
