Synopsis

The course gives students a carefully sequenced series of topics and assessments, providing the foundation for mathematics that will be encountered in a range of tertiary studies. This course provides a broad base of mathematical skill and knowledge to prepare students for undergraduate studies. By promoting understanding of both traditional and contemporary mathematics through story students will be taught to recognise and value the application of dual understandings of mathematical knowledge in real life contexts.
