The four macro skills are developed through role play and information gap questionnaires, pronunciation, dictation, listening for gist, specific information and detail, skimming, scanning, and reading for gist and detail, writing sentences and paragraphs. Directed self-study at the Pre-Intermediate level consolidates and extends students' ability to become more autonomous learners.
