Deferred and Supplementary Formal Examinations

Deferred and Supplementary Formal Examinations will be held within the next Deferred and Supplementary Formal Examination Period.

Once your results have been released, at the end of the teaching period, please check to see if you have received grades of DA (Deferred Assessment) or SA (Supplementary Assessment). If you are required to complete one of these exams, you will receive notification when the Deferred and Supplementary Exam Schedule is released to students, one week prior to the commencement of the Deferred and Supplementary Formal Examination Period.

Final grades for any Deferred or Supplementary examinations will be manually processed and updated no later than the Census Date of the following semester. Please contact your course examiner if your Deferred or Supplementary exam result has not been released after this time. If you are unable to complete your exam due to medical, family/personal or employment related reasons on the scheduled dates and time, you may apply to defer your exam by completing an online deferred examination application form, and attaching your supporting documentation.

Under normal circumstances, deferred examinations are held in the next Deferred and Supplementary Formal Examination Period.

A supplementary exam is sometimes offered to students who have undertaken all the required assessments in that course but have not demonstrated satisfactory levels of achievements in all the objectives considered as essential for passing the course.
