Professional experience gives preservice educators the opportunity to put theory into practice. To provide you with the most relevant and valuable placement experiences, the Professional Experience office sources a variety of placements, complementary to your field of specialisation.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have completed all the mandatory requirements outlined in the Course Specification, confirmed your scheduled placement dates, made any required leave and childcare arrangements and submitted the relevant placement requests and forms prior to your placement. Failure to complete these mandatory requirements prior to placement may result in delays.
Before you can attend any education placement you must hold a valid Blue Card within Queensland or hold a valid Working With Children Check as well as having completed any further training/certificates relevant to the state you are completing your placement in. These clearances and certificates cannot be due to expire at any time throughout your placement and it is essential you do not delay in lodging your applications as the screening process time can vary and may delay your placement if it is left too late.
