Contemporary String Playing Techniques with Amy Viola

In this five day workshop you will learn contemporary string techniques that will allow you to play solo or as part of an ensemble in a variety of contemporary genres, including bluegrass, folk and pop. Some songwriting and looping techniques will also be covered.

About Amy 

Amy is an acclaimed classical musician who works with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Philharmonia and overseas with the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra in Spain. Amy has recorded as a soloist and chamber musician on ABC Classic FM and 2MBSFM.

In 2017 Amy launched a solo songwriting project featuring viola, looping and vocals, and made her festival debut as Amy Viola at the Inland Sea of Sound in 2018. Amy spent part of 2019 writing and performing at the Berklee College of Music and Nashville TN, and is currently working on her debut album, set to release in mid 2020.
