World Access to Higher Education Day is designed to act as a catalyst for regional and local action by encouraging governments, universities and others to make meaningful commitments that will lead to greater equity in access and participation in higher education.
This year's theme is Equitable access and success through and post the pandemic. As the pandemic continues to shape the way we live and learn it is crucial we maintain and enhance our commitment and activities to ensure equitable access and success for current and future students.
Attendees will hear from a diverse group of non-traditional students from universities across Australia who will tell their stories about what access to higher education has meant to them, their families and their communities.
The University of Southern Queensland and the National Association of Enabling Educators of Australia (NAEEA) and Equity Practitioners in Higher Education Australia QLD (EPHEA) have joined together to coordinate this event.
