Superannuation plans

There are three different superannuation plans for employees, depending upon your employment type:

Type of plan  Who's it for? What are the key features?
Accumulation 1

For casual employees and employees with fixed term appointments of less than 12 months.

For continuing employees and employees with fixed term appointments of 12 months or more at less than fractional 50%.

9.5% SGC employer contribution

Insurance options available

Defined Benefit Division (Default) For continuing employees and employees with fixed term appointments of 12 months or more and at fractional 50% or more.

17% employer contribution and 7% employee default contribution

Inbuilt income protection and other insurance benefits

Accumulation 2 For continuing employees and employees with fixed term appointments of 12 months or more and at fractional 50% or more, who choose to move from Defined Benefit within the first 24 months.
