UniSuper Advice

UniSuper Advice is licensed to provide both general and personal financial advice, including advice on superannuation, wealth creation, non-super investments, retirement planning and life insurance. Offered exclusively to UniSuper members and their spouses, the financial advice services are provided by UniSuper Management Pty Ltd (ABN 91 006 961 799), Australian Financial Services Licence No. 235907.

Types of advice

As everyone’s situation is different, UniSuper Advice offers three separate levels of advice.

General advice and on campus advice

This service is just one of the exclusive benefits of being a UniSuper member. Provided either by a face to face appointment with the On Campus Consultant or through online tools, seminars and over the phone, it includes UniSuper’s product range, retirement options and other super related information. General advice is not tailored to your individual financial situation.

In person appointments with USQ's On Campus Consultant are available on a regular basis at Toowoomba, Springfield and Ipswich.

Limited personal advice

Limited advice is fee-for-service personal advice provided over the telephone. If you need advice on one or two issues about your super such as super splitting, spouse contributions, insurance cover, contribution levels, investment options or salary sacrifice, this service may be for you. You can contact UniSuper Advice on  1300 331 682.

Comprehensive advice

This service is for face-to-face personal advice. If you want advice on super or non-super investments, retirement planning, wealth creation or debt consolidation, UniSuper Advice has financial advisers based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra that can provide you with personal advice after considering your financial situation and needs. These advisers can meet with UniSuper members either in the local UniSuper office OR when they conduct appointments on site at university campuses. Appointments with USQ's on-campus financial adviser can be made via phone or online.

What does it cost?

UniSuper Advice operates solely on a fee-for-service basis. The cost varies depending on the complexity of the advice you require, and you will be provided with a fixed quote before agreeing to any advice services. If eligible, the cost of this advice may be able to be deducted from your UniSuper account if the advice relates to your UniSuper membership or other superannuation matters.

To access any of these services, please call UniSuper’s Financial Advice Centre on 1300 331 682. The friendly team will work with you to establish your needs and financial goals to determine the type of advice that’s right for you.
