Workcover and rehabilitation
The University recognises that there are substantial benefits to be gained from rehabilitation principles and practices and is committed to implementing them at this workplace.
USQ employees may claim compensation if they are injured within the Workcover definition of "a work related injury" where employment was a "significant contributing factor". Experience has shown that workplace rehabilitation assists the healing process and helps restore an employee's normal function sooner.
In the event of an injury or work related illness, the Workcover information and rehabilitation processes are key references for all individuals involved in the process, including employees, supervisors and Human Resources.
