Gender equality

At USQ, our continued success as a University depends on our people.  We are committed to providing equal opportunity and a rewarding workplace for all employees.   Promoting and improving gender equality and outcomes in the workplace is a key priority, with many initiatives and events on offer to create an inclusive workplace. 

Our gender equality initiatives


We engage in a number of external accreditation programs which aim to develop and advance the careers of women.

We are a Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice, and a proud participant in the Athena Swan program, and aim to provide equal opportunities, and a rewarding and safe workplace for all staff.


Our Vice-Chancellor continues to champion gender equality and gender pay equity as a priority, and is a proud WGEA Pay Equity Ambassador.
