As an international student, you may be eligible to study and live in Australia on a student visa. Once your student visa has been issued, it will be valid for the duration of your study.
Applying for a visa
You can apply for your student visa online, or with the help of one of our local education agents. Student visa holders who enter Australian between 19 January, 2022 and 19 March, 2022 can apply for their visa fee refund (AUD630).
Can I work while I study?
Australian Government student visa conditions allow student visa holders to work up to 40 hours each fortnight. To find out if you are eligible, and the conditions of a student visa, check with the Department of Home Affairs. In January, Australian Government temporarily removed the working hour limit for student visa holders and this will be reviewed in April, 2022.
Can I stay in Australia after I finish studying?
Upon graduation, and depending on your qualification, you may be eligible for a temporary graduate visa that will allow you to work in Australia for three to six years.
