Course Textbooks

The Library can provide advice and assistance with accessing textbooks online and in print.

Online Course Texts

The UniSQ Library provides ebook versions of course textbooks where possible.

Library staff also work with Course Examiners to identify free open resource texts that might be suitable as course texts and additional readings.

To check whether your course textbook is available as an ebook or open resource;

  • go to your course Study Desk and click on the Course Readings in the left-hand menu
  • if your course has a Mandatory Text, this will display along with Library availability
  • click on the relevant title and look for any 'View online' links.
Wanting to get started before your Study Desk is available? Identify your textbooks using the University Handbook and check for them in Library Search

Print Texts

The Library also holds some print copies of course textbooks available for short-term loans.

Search for your textbook in Library Search or Course Study Desk and then click the "Loan" option to request it. You can choose to pick up at your preferred campus library or you can have the book posted to your home at no cost. Return postage bags are included with home delivery parcels funded by your Student Services and Amenities fee.

If you only need a chapter whilst you wait for your own copy of the text to arrive, you can request the Library scan up to one chapter or 10% from a print book and email the PDF file to you. To request a scan, log into MyLibrary with your UniSQ student username and password, search for your textbook in Library Search and then click on the "Scan" option, agreeing to the copyright statement when prompted.
