Commence your study support journey by seeking general advice at the Library help desk, over the phone, via online chat, or email. Students should access Librarians and Learning Advisors and Learning Advisors (Maths) for specialist advice.

Library Services is not able to provide proofreading, editing, or personal counselling. Counselling can be accessed via the USQ counselling service

 

Group Sessions

Online Study Support

15-minute topic sessions delivered by a learning advisor and librarian with the remaining 45 minutes dedicated to your questions on any library or study topic.

Tuesday 6-7pm

Online Drop-in Sessions

Bring your questions along on any library or study topic to one of our online drop-in sessions and chat to a Librarian, Learning Advisor, or Learning Advisor (Maths).

Monday 2-3pm

Mathematics Drop-in Sessions 

Are you looking for support in mathematics? Have you recently returned to study and need to refresh your maths skills or do you have an assessment item with which you need mathematical assistance? If yes, then the Learning Advisors (Maths) are here to help you.

Bring your questions along to our Study Support, Online Maths drop-in sessions Wednesday 12-1pm and get specialist advice from a Maths Learning Advisor.

 

Consultations

Students can request one free specialist consultation per week. Study Support consultations are conducted one-on-one or in small groups (less than six people), online, over the phone, or on-campus.

Learning Advisors provide specialist help with study skills including time management, task analysis, writing academically, and preparation for exams and oral presentations.

Learning Advisors (Maths) provide specialist help with developing mathematical skills in algebra, calculus, and statistics. Advisors assist students with pre-requisite Maths required for courses such as data analysis, engineering, and drug calculations. They also support students with exam preparation.
