Framed Fridays - Anderson's Bowl on Stand

This week we feature the work of USQ’s previous Head of the Department of Ceramics, Bruce Anderson.

The Melbourne-born artist graduated with a Diploma of Art (Sculpture) from the Prahran College of Technology in 1971, later returning to complete a more concentrated ceramics course.

In 1984 he became Head of the Department of Ceramics at USQ, then known as the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education, and today this beautiful piece continues to be on display, and used as an example for our students.

This stunning example of his ceramic practice is a continual favourite for display and teaching purposes at the USQ Toowoomba campus.
