Like many events last year, the event was put on ice - with the University now hoping to have its most successful year yet.
Community members are invited to join University of Southern Queensland students and staff on July 30 to sleep rough for a night to raise awareness of an issue affecting about 500 people in our region on any given night.
The inaugural event was hosted at the University of Southern Queensland’s Toowoomba campus in 2019, and raised close to $7,000 for an accommodation project in Toowoomba, with the goal of raising over $10,000 this year to support long-term social housing in the region.
Participants are able to come along as individuals, or get a team together to help make a difference in the lives of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Registrations and fundraising pages now open.
Join the USQ community on Friday 30 July to experience what it’s like to be homeless for a night.
