  • Our film fanatic Dr Daryl Sparkes was featured across the airwaves talking about great lessons from The Godfather (50 years on!) and the symphony of music, romance and beauty in Cyrano.

  • Emeritus Professor Roger Stone spoke about climate patterns El Nino and La Nina on ABC News and Associate Professor John Dearnally discussed fungi and mould removal on ABC Brisbane following the Queensland and Northern New South Wales floods.

  • Our Master of Business Administration was highlighted in The Australian featuring student Angela Kielly.
  • Dr Brianna Larsen took part in interviews with various ABC News outlets to discuss science and high-performing female athletes.
  • Associate Professor Susan Hopkins spoke live on ABC News about young women who have stood their ground in the fight against harassment and inequality.
  • Student Claire Shadlow’s experience working behind the scenes at Eurovision’s Australia Decides was featured in an ABC Online article.

Wednesday

Drought-resilience research to be applied ‘on the ground’.

  • Professor John McVeigh was interviewed on ABC Queensland Drive about a new shopfront in Roma as part of the Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub led by our Future Drought Fund.
