2017 Open Education Grants: Reflections on ‘practical openness’
Wednesday 25 October 2017 • 10.30 am – 12.00 pm • Toowoomba Studio Y103
As part of International Open Access Week, the recipients of the 2017 Open Educational Practice (OEP) Grants will share their experiences, challenges and outcomes of engaging with openness. The presentation and panel session will feature the currently-funded projects:
- A pilot study of a mOOC in Multicultural Education for open access community use
- A-Skills online: Connecting and supporting students on the Autism Spectrum in Higher Education
- Developing a Micro-course in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge systems for open access community use
- Leading Organisational Change: an open textbook
Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the appropriateness of the project outcomes to date for their own context, and to engage with discussion about the larger issues facing these projects within the institution.
Access to this event is free and open, and the panel will be fielding questions from our online participants.
Registration: Please register your attendance as a light lunch will be provided following the presentations.
